Hungary - Clinical Research Unit
The clinical research unit (CRU) of Pierrel Research Hungary is a research institute providing services for clinical trials. As a part of Pierrel Research, we carry out the whole range of clinical trials of phase I-IIa, including bioequivalence studies.
Potentials
Our independent clinical research unit has been established on the premises of a 600-bedded north-Budapest hospital. Our 18-bedded unit is the largest research unit in the region, mostly performing human phase I, early phase II and bioequivalence studies. The out-patient clinic, which associates the in-patient unit, is suitable for phase II-III studies where hospitalization is not required. We also participate in pharmacokinetic sub-studies of clinical trials conducted by other investigation sites. The CRU has been accredited by the National Institute of Pharmacology and aims to support its excellent reputation further on.
Advantages
Our extended volunteer database guarantees a fast recruitment and inclusion of male and female healthy volunteers. Due to our excellent patient referral system and good coordination between the CRU and particular hospital departments, the inclusion of patients for phase II-III studies is conducted on a high professional technical level.

The professional staff of the CRU has a cumulative experience of over 80 trials-including about a dozen 'First In Man' administrations-in the field of cardiology, dermatology, diabetology, haemostaseology, hepatology, lipidology, nephrology, and oncology-without the demand for completeness. Beyond our qualified personnel and technical setup an intensive healthcare unit backups the safety of the volunteers.
